Forest Fire

Wasatch Mountains, Utah

Limited Edition of 5 Museum Grade, Fine Art Prints.

This photograph is part of Tom's film series of images taken between 1984 and 2006. Each image in this series is available in Limited Edition Fine Art printings of no more than 5 in the various Museum-Grade formats.

The Mount Nebo Scenic Byway or loop is one of the premier places in Utah to see fall colors. It is one of my favorite places yet some times it is years between visits. I took this image between 2004 and 2006 with my Nikon F4 and a wonderful 35-70 2.8 lens. I remember driving by that hill side and slowing down to look because it was spectacular. I just had to stop and capture it on film. Quaking aspen trees sometimes go very red when the don't change until late in the fall. This grove was amazing this day with shades of yellow, red and orange. It wasn’t until years later that I decided to do a little editing on this image and it finally reached its full potential for me. My wife made the comment that it looked like the forest was on fire, so naming the image was easy, I think “Forest Fire” is very fitting.

Vibrant Colors and Clarity!

The Finished print will look different than what you see on your phone or computer screen. Your phone or computer screen does not do justice to the amazing color and depth of these museum grade, fine art prints. When enlarged to sizes of 24x36 or larger these prints really explode in detail and vibrancy. Proper lighting on your prints can be key to how they will look in your home or office. Here is an article Tomas wrote about how to light your photographic art.
