Limited Edition of 10 Museum Grade, Fine Art Prints.
Inveraray Castle is the ancestral home of the Duke of Argyll, Chief of the Clan Campbell. It is a beautiful castle built in Gothic Revival style. Construction of the castle started in 1743 with the foundation stone laid in October of 1746. While we were visiting Inveraray my wife saw a family riding bicycles down the road. The little girl fell off her bike, and my wife ran over to help her. After the youngster had ridden off a local came over to my wife and asked her if she knew who the family was. My wife replied, “No,” and the person said, “that was the Duke and his family!” My wife just shrugged it off, as far as she was concerned it was just a family riding bikes and the little girl needed help. I love the perspective and mood of this photograph. Looking down the long gravel lane, the grass and trees on the side and the untouchable castle in the distance give this image depth and character.
