Limited Edition of 5 Museum Grade, Fine Art Prints.
While spending time in Yellowstone National Park on our honeymoon in 2009, I saw this raven sitting on a rock. I liked how it was silhouetted against the blue water so I captured it in a photograph and ultimately filed the image away. I have a large backlog of images from that trip that I have yet to finish editing. Years later while showing my work at a festival someone asked if I had any raven images. I did not, but I remembered having this image in my archive so I dug it out and started showing it in smaller matted prints. It has sold fairly well so I decided to add it to my website.
For the title I decided to pull on my love of mythology. In Norse mythology Odin has two ravens Huginn (thought) and Muninn (memory) that fly over the world and bring news back to Odin. This image reflects my love of mythology, thus the raven is ‘waiting for Odin’. Photo © copyright by Tomas W. Mitchell.

The Finished print will look different than what you see on your phone or computer screen. Your phone or computer screen does not do justice to the amazing color and depth of these museum grade, fine art prints. When enlarged to sizes of 24x36 or larger these prints really explode in detail and vibrancy. Proper lighting on your prints can be key to how they will look in your home or office. Here is an article Tomas wrote about how to light your photographic art.
