Tomas loves photographing birds and his favorite place to do this in the Bear River Bird Refuge in Northern Utah. Birds of all kinds can be found at the refuge. Swans, geese, herons and many ducks can be found there. You can also find raptors such as hawks and owls if you are patient and watch. Photographing birds can be tricky because they move fast and don't give you much time to take the shot. The best practice at the Bear River Bird Refuge is to just get photographs from your car because once you get out of the vehicle most times the birds will spook and fly off. Another way to photograph birds is from a blind, such as a tent or branch shelter that has been setup for some time. No matter how you do it photographing birds can be very rewarding and a lot of fun!
