April 30, 2021 I went to the Valley of Fire State Park, Nevada to try to photograph some Great Horned Owls that live between the Atlatl Rock and the Arch Rock campgrounds. I never saw the owls but I did find one of their feathers. This gave me the perfect opportunity to do some still life studies in a very unique area. I was in a shady alcove of rock with this wonderful warm diffused light coming in so I got creative posing this feather against the rock wall. I decided to name the series Feather Light which I found very fitting.

I decided to name each photograph in the series a synonym for peace. Quietude, Hush, Harmony, and Amity.
