Big Sur, California in June is an magical place. Fields of wildflowers bloom along the rugged coastline, waves crash onto the rocks and sun shines giving a yellow glow the world. Photographing the scenery of Big Sur is one of my favorite things to do and yet I had not visited for over 20 years. On this trip I made a point of visiting every day and it was well worth the drive time from Monterey, California. For this series I put my tripod in one spot and did not move it except to swivel the head and zoom in or out to compose the photograph I wanted. All in all I think I came away with some fantastic images though Color Waves is my personal favorite.
