All a Glow

Wasatch Mountains, Utah

Limited Edition of 5 Museum Grade, Fine Art Prints.

This photograph is part of Tom's film series of images taken between 1984 and 2006. Each image in this series is available in Limited Edition Fine Art printings of no more than 5 in the various Museum-Grade formats.

I took this image around the year 2000 with my old Nikon F. I had seen a similar image in a book on nature photography years before and I always wanted to do one like it. I spent some years visiting different sites looking for the right conditions. I eventually learned what to look for and knew this spot would work great if I could be there at the right moment. I headed up American Fork Canyon on the Alpine Loop road that day knowing the conditions should be great. I got there, set up and waited for the sun to sink to the point it was just touching the top of the fir trees and back lighting the Quaking Aspens. When I developed the film and printed it I was ecstatic with what I had captured! I love the whole mood concept of this photograph the dark negative space and the bright yellow aspens glowing in the midst of the forest.

Vibrant Colors and Clarity!

The Finished print will look different than what you see on your phone or computer screen. Your phone or computer screen does not do justice to the amazing color and depth of these museum grade, fine art prints. When enlarged to sizes of 24x36 or larger these prints really explode in detail and vibrancy. Proper lighting on your prints can be key to how they will look in your home or office. Here is an article Tomas wrote about how to light your photographic art.
