Highway 89 through Star Valley Wyoming and down to Bear Lake Idaho is one of the most scenic drives I have ever been on. Autumn is the perfect time of year to take this drive and the day I drove this route the fall colors were peaking and spectacular. This image was the last one I took this night and it was just what I was looking for. I love the quaking aspen forests in autumn and finding a view of forest across a distance like this so you can isolate the trees and colors is one of my favorite ways of capturing the beauty of autumn in the mountains.
