In September of 2023 I took a chance of a lifetime and attended a workshop taught by my photography idol, Rodney Lough Jr. I have been a fan of Rodney's since 2009 when I stumbled across one of his galleries. I was in awe and have followed his work ever since. This workshop was held near Crested Butte, Colorado and we primarily photographed along the road going to Kebler Pass. I have never felt so intimidated in my life, I felt totally off my game and like I was a total novice again.
I sat on all the images from the trip for almost a year debating on which ones I liked. I didn't look at them for a few months and when I came back 6 stood out to me. This one really spoke to me of the joy I feel in the forests of autumn.
