Timpanogos is my favorite mountain. I grew up looking at its lofty profile and started climbing the mountain as a teenager. This mountain is the most popular mountain in Utah to hike and photograph. I have spent many years trying to find different views of Timp. This view is one I have always loved but never tried with film because of the power pole and power lines blocking the view. This day in 2016 my wife and I were exploring the Alpine Loop road and I decided to stop at this spot again. The power pole and lines were still there in the composition I wanted but then I realized something, I could easily remove them in Photoshop. I loved the light and the fall colors being backlit in the afternoon sun. So I took the shot and it has been one of my best selling images.
