No Passing Zone

Highway 287, Wyoming

Limited Edition of 10 Museum Grade, Fine Art Prints.

Wyoming highway 287 is a lonely road that runs from Rawlins to Lander and passes through small towns such as Muddy Gap and Jefferey City. I took this photograph about halfway between the two at the Split Rock pullout. I had just driven this stretch of road as I was heading north to Lander and I had seen some pronghorn on the side of the road that I wanted to try to photograph. I pulled out at Split Rock which is a picnic and hiking area and put on my fixed 300 mm lens and went looking for the antelope. When I found them they were too far off but looking through my lens I saw this amazing perspective and just had to photograph it. As you can tell it was a stormy day and being early May there wasn't much color. So I converted this image to black and white and adjusted it to bring out the wonderful tones and depth. I love how this turned out with the towering mountains covered in snow and the perspective of the road taking the viewer deep into the scene. If you look closely you will see the 'no passing zone' sign in the bottom right corner.

Shown as a 30x45 inch print in a Rustic Butch Cassidy frame.

The Finished print will look different than what you see on your phone or computer screen. Your phone or computer screen does not do justice to the amazing color and depth of these museum grade, fine art prints. When enlarged to sizes of 24x36 or larger these prints really explode in detail and vibrancy. Proper lighting on your prints can be key to how they will look in your home or office.
