I had driven south from Salt Lake with stormy skies and strong winds. Once I passed the front of the storm the skies were amazing and the sunlight warm and inviting. So I decided to drive into Zion Park at the Kolob entrance. As I found compositions and photographed, the storm front started catching up to me and the clouds and light because amazing, the kind of conditions I look for. The light and clouds in this image literally blew my mind because the wind was really picking up. I aimed my camera north and captured this image and within a few minutes it was raining and I was on my way to Saint George. Later I cropped the image to this 3:1 ratio panoramic.
