The color clung to the trees and sky, the dusk of the fay stopped time.
What if walking on a forest path you crossed into another world and found you belonged in a world of eternal beauty where leaves never fall and winter never comes?
This is a composite. I stood and waited for hours this autumn evening as the clouds passed over Mount Timpanogos but the sky never exploded in color. So weeks later I dug through my catalog of sunset images and found one that fit this image nicely. I decided to replace the sky and create the mood of that evening thinking what if one cloud had moved out of the way of the setting sun and the sunset had turned to hues of yellow and orange echoing the autumn aspen forest?
