I took this image on 10/1/2017. We had gone up Provo canyon, Utah to photograph Bridal Veil Falls. After shooting the water fall with the glorious autumn colors, I decided to check out a perspective of Cascade Mountain I have always liked. We arrived and I found the conditions were perfect. I set up and composed this image so the streaming lights of the passing cars would be visible in the lower right corner. I was waiting for the light when I realized the moon was beginning to shine through the clouds. As the light reached perfection the maple tree forest glowed with shades of red, pink and orange, I couldn’t believe how lucky I was to have all these conditions line up perfectly for such a wonderful photograph!
I took this photograph by shooting numerous vertical images and panning between shots. I then stitched them together in Adobe Lightroom to create this 3:1 ratio panoramic image.
