I walked down to this spot on the Devils Tower Tipi Camping property in the early morning light. It was still dark enough to need a flashlight but the birds were awake and singing all around me. I set up my camera and breathed in the early morning air and began to just bask in the amazing experience. I knew I wanted to do a panoramic image of this scene so I composed the shot. Once the sun just touched the tower I I shot panning my camera from left to right with each shot. Later I stitched the 10 or so images together in Lightroom and cropped the file to this 1:2.5 panorama. I love how this image turned out with the morning glow touching the tower and cliffs, the forest stretching below and the mist along the river in the distance.
