Limited Edition of 10 Museum Grade, Fine Art Prints.
Ben Nevis is the highest mountain in the UK at 4,411 feet above sea level. That might not sound very high to many climbers but considering it is roughly 4,000 feet to the summit and the climate can change drastically in moments from sunny and warm to snowing it is a worthy climb for anyone. My one regret is that I didn't get to climb it but that just gives me one more reason to return! I found this location as we headed towards the Nevis Range Ski Resort, and I love the perspective of the snow covered mountain through the trees and the colorful forest. It really was a gorgeous day with partially cloudy skies and wonderful low spring light. March was a great time to travel to Scotland because the light was always low and warm giving such wonderful colors. There is much debate over the meaning of the name of this mountain but most agree it has to do with the Celtic gods who were once worshiped on mountain tops.
