Autumn mornings rejuvenate my soul, cold air on my skin healing the summer heat, the smell of fallen leaves wet and earthy, low warm sunlight rising through the trees, mist floating over the water like spirits of seasons past.
I spent 5 nights in October of 2024 photographing in Glacier National Park. I feel I got some of the best work of my lifetime. It was an experience of Aroura Borealis, misty mornings, amazing autumn colors and warm autumn light.
This morning I got to Lake McDonald early and decided to explore the south west end of the lake. There was frost on the leaves and grass and mist rising from the water. It was a magical morning and as the sun rose the light hit the peaks perfectly. Autumn mornings like this is what I live for.
