My Spot

My wife and I were on our honeymoon the first week of September in 2009 and we spent some time in Glacier. We did the short hike from Logan Pass to Hidden Lake overlook and I got some great shots of mountain goats and bighorn sheep. I had photographed this goat in “Don’t Eat the Daisies” and we continued on to the overlook. We sat down with our feet dangling over the edge and were enjoying ourselves when I saw this goat coming towards us. I told my wife we needed to move because we were in the goat’s spot. She asked how I knew, and I replied “me Tarzan, me know”. She laughed and we got up and moved. Sure enough that goat came and stood exactly where we were sitting and then looked at me as if to say “My Spot”.
